International Space Station Commander Jeff Williams set a new U.S. spaceflight record, passing the 520-day endurance record set for cumulative time spent in orbit.
Williams seen here on a successful spacewalk, that marks a major milestone on the road to the start of Commercial Crew missions of Boeing’s CST-100 Starliner and SpaceX’s Dragon 2 spacecraft, keeping the U.S. Segment staffed until the end of the program in the 2020s.
