Hank’s Flights Help Rescue 30 Puppies for Operation Pets Alive
Third Annual Operation Pets Alive Rescue Ride took place on April 22nd with a record participation! Riders met at Galaxy FBO early morning to see Hank’s Flights take off to rescue 30 puppies from the Montgomery County Animal Shelter.
These events are organized to transport healthy animals from overpopulated shelters in Southern states to areas with more available resources to take care of them. This was OPA’s 47th Flight for Life, and Hank’s Flight’s 35th Mission to save puppies and kittens. Participants for the OPA Rescue Ride later departed Galaxy FBO for a 100-mile scenic ride through Montgomery County.
Since 2014 Hank’s Flights, teams up with Operation Pets Alive in Montgomery County, Texas to move animals from Southeast Texas which has an overabundance of homeless dogs, cats, puppies and kittens who are at risk of being euthanized to other parts of the United States where individuals and families wish to adopt a pet. Hank’s Flights has already moved over 1,000 animals from Texas to other parts of the United States where there is a high demand for adoption thus saving pets lives and providing them with loving homes.
