General Chennault Flying Tiger Academy is hosting a special seminar at Galaxy FBO on September 26th to overview their 26 Week Long Commercial Pilot Training Program.

Inspired by Claire Lee Chennault, an American military aviator best known for his leadership of the “Flying Tigers” and the Republic of China Air Force in World War II. Chennault retired from the United States Army in 1937, and went to work as an aviation adviser and trainer in China. Began as an idea first expressed by Nell Calloway, granddaughter to General Claire Chennault, the General Chennault Flying Tiger Academy is bringing the military training process to the general aviation today, at the Conroe North Houston Regional Airport.

The academy offers several special Commercial Pilot Training programs in partnership with the Lone Star College, including a six month program which helps new student gain up to 300 flight hours flight experience, along with an FAA commercial license with an instrument certificate and multi-engine rating.
