Texas Aviation Lawyer Receives FAA’s Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award at the Galaxy FBO
The Texas aviation lawyer has achieved 50 years of incident-free flying to receive the industry’s most prestigious award at an event hosted at the Conroe North Houston Regional Airport (KCXO).
The Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award recipients hold a U.S. Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) or a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pilot certificate with an incident-free 50 or more years of civil and military piloting experience. The award was presented to Mr. Evans on July 16th by Mr. Jay Wilkins from the Federal Aviation Administration’s Houston Flight Standards District Office. Over 50 guests attended the special dinner event at the Black Walnut Café, located on the third floor of the Galaxy FBO, to celebrate Mr. Evans’ achievement.
Mr. Evans’ aviation career surpasses 14,000 hours of flight experience, including over 9,500 flight hours in multi-engine corporate jets. He is also a recipient of the National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA) million mile safety award.
Mr. Evans is a native of Columbus, Ohio, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeroscience from Ohio State University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Illinois Benedictine College. Mr. Evans received his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law. Mr. Evans is currently a managing shareholder at Coats & Evans, P.C. along with Mr. George Andrew “Drew” Coats. The lawyer-duo focuses on aviation law, defense and commercial trial law, aviation and other transactional work, and administrative proceedings involving the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
