FIFA World Cup Football Field vs Galaxy FBO Hangar
2014 FIFA World Cup is about to be over, with the final game coming up this Sunday.
You are probably wondering who will take home the gold trophy. One thing is for sure; it’s going to be a very difficult game, with lots of ‘running’ around!
The minimum regulation field is about 1.59 acres of surface area per FIFA rulings, the fields for international matches must be between 110 yards long by 70 yards wide and 120 yards long by 80 yards wide.
To put things in perspective, we overlaid a 110 yard (330 feet) by 70 yard (210 feet) field over our hangar. As you can note, our massive 38,000+ square feet aircraft hangar which is large enough to house several large-size cabin corporate jets and the additional 12,000+ square feet storage and parking facility is still short of the FIFA’s 69,300 square feet field.
Each player runs 7 miles on average during a 90 minute game, and mid-fielders who play both offense and defense can run up to 9.5 miles per game. A referee runs 8 miles on average. Our hangar maybe smaller than a soccer / football field, but our 15 acres development which consists of a three story building, two large hangars and over 9 acres of ramp spaces allows us to get enough exercise everyday!
