Construction Begins for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Facility at CXO
The new U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility will soon enable the Lone Star Executive Airport to join select general aviation airports in United States that offer customs clearing services. Construction of the new 3,200-square-foot Customs and Border Protection facility started on September 28th and is expected to be complete by the end of April 2016.
The facility will allow inbound international flights to the Lone Star Executive Airport, avoiding congested Houston airspace. Long–range business jets will be able to fly non-stop from Central America, Mexico, Canada and Europe. The new 7,501 feet Runway 14-32 allows safer landing and take-off operations for fully loaded large cabin jets.
The Shenandoah Municipal Development District was the latest entity to support the new U.S. Customs Facility and Border Protection Facility. The private – public partnership also includes generous funds from The Woodlands Economic Development Partnership, Montgomery County, City of Conroe, Conroe Industrial Development Corporation and Black Forest Ventures.
The construction will not affect the day to day operations at Galaxy FBO. For the latest updates on the construction progress, please follow us on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIN or Google+
